Dofu: Vegan Black Soya Ice Cream & Pudding - IN SINGAPORE

Are you surprised? Because I am.
Never in my life, i have ever thought VEGETARIAN ice-cream was a possible creation.
But, i guess i was wrong. Time and efforts has proven that it was possible.

It was the first week of January, when i was scrolling through my Instagram on a peaceful afternoon. The fated moment where i came to learn about DOFU(tofu hahah) through an sponsored advertisement.

Black Soya Ice cream? i read. In my mind, i was like " gotta try this out man."
Been a fan of black soya since i can remember probably cause of the first Korean black soya drink i had hohoho~

There are variety of toppings for you to choose from! Certainly not losing out to any famous yogurt ice-cream stores you know!!

Of course, being me~ i have chosen the oreo as my topping for it is one of my favorites.
The taste? well, simply fantastic and real fancy. However, I would have preferred if they were not too stingy when they are giving the toppings. Because the topping was only surrounded the ice-cream which in this case, i would slightly prefer llao llao as they are more generous in their toppings!

I absolutely loved the idea where the black soya pudding and ice-cream was a paired combination. Honestly, who the hell would be so creative as to come up with that?! (definitely not me hoho)
The combination was just great. Not too sweet, everything was so well-balanced.

Usually, for me, eating ice-cream was something i would cross out of my mind because of the after feel of guiltiness for eating high in sugar food.
However, Dofu menu tasted really healthy to me and there was no leftover feelings of guilt for eating it.

What i love second was their service attitude. definitely would love to give them a 10/10.
The lady worker who served me was extremely friendly and nice. With such lovely earnest workers, it really makes one wants to come back for more! Honestly, having good servicing attitude towards customer is one important point i look out for. hahaha, i guess i am giving out too much praises.

In terms of price, they are affordable:) and definitely worth the price you pay for!! The above menu is what i had screenshot from their fb webpage, do give it a try yahh!!
A heads on before you buy~ with pudding it will be slightly more expensive!! ranging around $7++

HAHA have you become a fan of Dofu after reading my blog post so far?
You can now consider getting a membership on your first buy at just $12. (if i didn't remembered wrongly hoho)
All payment will be deducted from there on! How convenient is it?
So fear not, you can return for more and pay for your second trip using the card you got <33 hehe. Healthy vegan black soya ice-cream, perfect as a sweet treat after a day workout or long day in school~

Hope you will share your little support to them soon:) by paying them a visit!!

Dofu is truly one of the most unique ice-cream store i have ever come across, standing right at the end of the bus interchange. It was quite a "ululu" walk there for bus interchange does not seems like a popular venue to start up an ice cream outlet hahha.

Considering the fact that there are numbers of unconquerable competitors such as llao llao, Yummy Yogurt, Sogurt, Honey Creme in Singapore? Still, trust me Dofu is as good as these famous well-knowns.

How to get there?

Yishun Temporary Bus Interchange,
20A Yishun Central,
#01-05, 768830.

*Take the MRT Train to Yishun and walk underpass to get into the shopping mall. Exiting at the Hongkok Eatery, cross the road over to the bus interchange and turn right.

Sunday 8 January 2017

Last day of 2016.

Many of you (i assume) probably have never put in much thoughts, thinking about "how i should spend the last day of a particular year?"
other then celebrating countdown with friends and family members.

Instead, we're always unconsciously worrying about the future that hasn't yet arrive.
On the last day of every year, i realized many are stuck in a continuous cycle (including myself.)
Coming up with new promises and resolutions. For the reason of wanting to become a better someone, lead a better life or to make themselves feel better? so on and so forth.

That was me until recently, on every last day of the year...Always thinking and worrying about how i should spend my following year.
However, coming into the first day of 2017 my first thought was "nothing in particular has change..because i still see the same old me just in a different year."  Like how i kept my routine the same, wasting every second of my time each day not working towards my dream.

Let's be honest here. Looking back to all the years when we start making promises to ourselves.
How many promises, goals or resolution we said we would find all ways to accomplish and stay bulletproof to all kinds of distraction. In actual, manage to do so. ( If you know of some ways, please email me and tell me how.)
I dont know about you, but in 2016 i know i have definitely lose track of my true goal in the process of trying to achieve it.

All in all, we got no one else to blame but ourselves for not being firm enough in our resolution. Constantly, procrastinating and allowing our bad habits to get ahead of us and give in to the devil temptation we were supposed to resist.

It is already the 4th week of January 2017, i don't feel like an "improved version from 2016". I mean even i-phone is continuously upgrading themselves while on the other hand, i feel degraded each year *sigh*
To add on, i am always coming up with excuses to make myself feel better...
Saying things like i'm still searching for ways on how to stop being LAZY?
When the answer can in fact, be found if we would just sit down and self-reflection, then decide what action to take and become more discipline.

(this post is a good example of my procrastination which was supposedly to be upload on the last day of 2016 but failed to do so.)
.
.

Dear readers, you probably can tell by now that i'm tired of making meaningless promises, keeping the same old routine and not taking control of my life by changing for the better.

Coming into 2017 made me realized the millions of meaningful things i had missed out on or could have done on a daily basis previously.

Hopefully, before 2018 comes next year...
On the final day of 2017 everyone including myself would be able to spend our day meaningfully.
Ensuring that it was a memorable one year that is worth moving on, to the next year. A one year which i or the rest of us wouldn't have to go back and reflect on what could have been better over and over again.
Because till now, 2016 has left me with much regrets;')

Therefore, a challenge for myself and everyone.
1. Get yourself a notebook and start writing reflections
2. Keep track of your progress no matter how small it is
3. No regrets
4. Plan how you want to make your last day of 2017 celebration a meaningful one
Hopefully, new healthy habits will be develop along the coming months and the bad habits will be thrown away.
