Prodigal Roaster - Everything below $5

We have all been to many cafes before and the prices are always a little less affordable, so we always have the tendency to hesitate to enter a cafe and choose a cheaper option instead.

Located not far away from the Yio Chu Kang MRT station, there is this small and quiet cafe which serve desserts and coffee at a very affordable price.
I have been to quite a few cafe before, and they were definitely not up to expectation for the price i paid for...

However, at Prodigal Roaster they serve delicious tarts at a most decent price, though on the other hand, i felt the coffee was a little bit pricey but still okay.

Raspberry Frangipane Tarts topped with Blueberries at $4.50.
- The old taste; a must try menu.
i wasn't expecting much when i ordered this piece of tart because all the raspberry desserts i have tasted so far, always ended up in a disappointment.

To my surprised, i was wrong. The tart tasted unexpectedly savory than i had imagined, furthermore, there was some similarity in terms of taste that i thought was long lost...Which is the raspberry cake my grandma used to baked for me.

if you were to ask me to describe this tart in one sentence:
can i have a bigger piece please haha!!

Paprika Bacon Mushroom Quiche Tart at $4.50
- The perfect dessert choice for breakfast or lunch.
Paired with Bacon and Blue Cheese, a unique pastry that you cannot find anywhere else unless at Prodigal Roaster.

Never in my life, i would expect such a combination. Because the word "sweetness" comes to my mind when Tarts are mentioned.

Fear not, the taste is just fine. Topped with plenty of mushrooms, the buttery and juicy pieces of meat also makes one crave for more after one bit. Definitely a must try for lovers of buttery pastry or meat.

Raspberry Cheese Tart at $4.50

Their tarts was simply so good that i decided to order another 3 tarts as takeaway to bring them home and share the joy.

I was lucky enough to order this last piece of raspberry cheese tart, but.. it was quite disappointing that the taste was almost no difference to all the usual strawberry, raspberry cheese tarts i have tasted so far...i guess sometimes, one shouldn't expect too much.
.
.
Also on the same day i made my trip down to the cafe. Their signature menu, miso cheese tart was not available;( Would love to try it in the future. Overall, the Raspberry Frangipane was my favorite of all that i have tasted at PR cafe.

A cup of mocha a day, keeps the bad vibes away. ($4.50)

The mocha had a strong and slightly bitter flavor which goes really well with the tarts in store.

A bonus point to add, the cafe workers are naturally nice and their service is 3stars. The barista is extremely friendly haha^^ he was so random when he asked me a question: how was the taste of the mocha? Of course, i replied with a thumbs up ! and saying it was a good cup of coffee.
.
.

The space at the cafe is limited:/ because there aren't many chairs and tables~ (hopefully they will consider expanding the area.) Thus, it might not be the perfect place for chilling. Still, it is worth the trip! For you get to enjoy a taste of dream as the sweetness of the tarts will surely melt your stressful day away~

That's all for this post!
Thank you for reading, hope you will make your trip down to the cafe soon!

AFA DAY 2
First and foremost, if you haven realise on my social media? there was no update on any cosplans for this year's AFA16
Furthermore, ICHIMATSU COS was like a supber LAST Minute plan with my friend...

Secondly, my ichimatsu cosplay this time around was a NO NO big time.
1. Why? i didn't had the black lens and the proper costumes...

2. why grey lens you ask? i thought the colour had the closest relation to black which i was totally wrong about it HAHA the colour grey was simply so bright that it made my eyes looked smaller instead (opps)

3. #lessonlearnt: i shouldn't have used grey lens as a replacement...
Moral of my rant? my ichimatsu cosplay was not on point :((

Part 1: SHIP SAIL

Part 2:

DONT MIND MY COS DOWN UGLY FACE OMG

Entering the Convention Hall

*kabedon haru*

the drawn printed posters are like ridiculously nice, and to add on to that the poster was set up for auction bidding HAHA and if you notice, the Victor poster had a bid of $410... at the end of the event from a $30.
i could never afford that amount, that person got my admiration.

cosing down

Before and After
(i tried, but i still look horrible!!) i guess i need more practice~

the only merch which i bought during afa this year. Everything was mostly completely sold out, also, i am still quite sad over the fact that harumako pillow was already out on day one...
BUT ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, MONEY IS SAVED$$
.
