DAISO; failed pudding

こんいちわ(^o^)/

I made pudding for the very second time the other day, although it turns out to be a failure process..
The shape was however made very terribly and it turns out the way i didn't expected it would.. BUT ! it didn't taste as bad as it looks like..i guess? haha
(( Even though it looks really ugly.. the pudding still taste quite nice okay! although i must admit that it is kinda very sweet.. because of the caramel hehe ))

Well, as for the first time when i made the pudding it was like during my primary school days? re-calling my childhood memories haha, nah just kidding.

i actually don't quite remember how i made the pudding during those days when i was in primary school, but i still remember that i used water instead of milk when i first tried making pudding LOL! so hilarious.
i forgot the taste, but i sympathy the past me having to eat "water pudding" HAHA.

Before i begin, let me mention that this is going to be a really short entry!
Anyway please enjoy reading !

Let's begin with the process !
♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪

I bought this packet of pudding brand from the local $2 shop which is DAISO.
I assume that everyone knows the shop DAISO? haha it is like one of my favorite shopping place because you can get anything you need for like 2 bucks only and it is like so damm cheap and reasonable hehe.

I love eating sweets a lot so i thought that i wanted to try making pudding again cause it looks super interesting to make. Also pudding has like those bounding texture which seems super fun to destroy and eat it HAHA, lastly it like so Japanese style to eat pudding also.

If you do not know, this is how the logo looks like

Of course, buying pudding from a japanese local store, you must go  definitely with a Japanese milk brand HAHA!

okay i am so sorry haha, i know i am like a japanese fan freak..
i suppose any type of milk brand is fine, but the taste might be a little different and texture as different type of milk is milked from different cows.

pour at least 350-400ml of milk to make the pudding.
** make sure you don't use too much milk !
because the result won't be as good as you think it might be, if you pour in too much milk to cook with the pudding powder hehe.

next up, you can pour all the pudding powder and milk into a pot.

Follow by, boiling it with medium heat, you can stir the milk with the whisk while it is boiling, to ensure a consistency in the process, however do not consistently stir it.

Ensure that you do not over heat it for too long as well because you might burn it.. boil it for around the estimated time 5 minutes is just fine.

after you finish boiling it, you can pour the liquid state pudding into any type of cup, silicone you want to shape it into.

Please cool it in the refrigerator for around 2 hours so it will turn into the solid texture we want.
** Do not place it inside the freeze, you might freeze the pudding and it won't taste nice haha.

Next up let's make the caramel sauce !

Pour the caramel powder into a small bowl.

Take one full tablespoon of water and pour it into the bowl you pour the caramel powder in and mix it till it isn't really sticky.

After awhile, you will get this color, don't make it too watery because it will kinda make the caramel taste weird?

2 hours has passed since i placed it in the fridge, and this was the result i got..
turned out really unexpected..
i was really hoping for a nice rabbit pudding shape, sadly i guess i should have placed it in the fridge for a little bit longer haha.
But it is alright! the next time i make pudding again, i will improve my skills !
.
.

To summarize my entry, i am going to end off with a video, for you guys to have a better view of how to make pudding!
I hope you would enjoy making it as well, do try out this yummy dessert !

I would also like to apologize for the late update and poor photo graphics, lastly, thank you for reading my blog !
Have a fun making pudding day hehe !

September holiday?
whereby you do not need to attend school YAY! (Stress-free) i bet majority were really looking forward to holidays like me!

i suppose i am not spending my holiday wisely, overall the way i spend my holiday is pretty average? (like those japanese girl where they stay at home and do nothing?) just kidding haha, most of my time goes to, watching anime
Yup, i have been using my holiday to watch Detective Connan and i am still at like episode 538, i have got around 100+ episode more to go before i reach episode 700 HAHA.
FIRSTLY! it isn't because i have no life okay! i still spend my time outdoor and hang out with friends. ( i got a life also.)
secondly! i didn't go without sleeping or eating just to watch anime HAHA, i have started to watch the anime since i was secondary one or primary six? i forgot already haha.

HOWEVER,
the holiday spoiler is forever HOMEWORK?! and returning back to school for extra lessons..how wonderful ;(
.
.

Last Saturday, i went to watch this Japanese Movie which i had waited for a really LONG PERIOD to be aired in Singapore (YAY!)
i waited for around 3 months long? YES! when i first came across the movie trailer i was so excited and i said to myself, i definitely must catch this movie!
i known this movie from my favorite J-POP band because they were the band chosen to sing for the movie. Some of you may have already know it is, ONEOKROCK!
many love for this band xoxo.

the movie didn't failed to meet my expectation hehe, the main character was damm hansamu (means handsome in japan) I totally recommend that you guys catch the show as well because #yolo (you only live once.)

Rurouni Kenshin; Kyoto Inferno (2014)

SEE, the main character guy damm handsome right omgg, my heart melts already omgg, i cannot.
i think i have become his fan, i really love his acting, the passion he demonstrate through his acting, i can really feel how he is trying to express the feelings.
This movie is in fact a season 2, i think i missed season 1..but it alright, i will search for the season one movie online!
and the movie is actually adapted from a Manga, you can also watch the anime version!

CASTING

i am sharing the photo, so you guys can have a clearer view of the characters that are playing in the movie.

Here's the trailer; please watch it !

i hope you have a better understanding of the story plot now

This is the main character *melts* HE IS REALLY SO GOOD-LOOKING
can i marry him now? just joking haha
i should stop *fan-girl*

i actually found a photo of kenshin with taka omgg *fangirl*

Another main character; Shishio
in my point of view, i personally feel that this character is in fact quite pitiable.. the reason way he looked like this way was because, during the meji war time, when he fought for the glory of the government but because of his greedy comrades, they kill and burned him, however he survive through the burn because it was snowing.
i should stop being the spoiler here haha, please go catch the movie!

This character, Sojiro is shishio right-hand man.
I also enjoyed how he acted in the movie, actually his face looked smaller in the movie haha.

To sum up the movie, this is the song my favorite band who sang for the movie
Mighty Long Fall - ONEOKROCK.
.
.

yup, we watched the movie at GV hehe, i still have the tickets with me

unquestionably popcorn is definitely a necessity when you are catching a movie at GV, because their popcorn alway taste better compared to the ones from Cathey.

A selfie with my friend hehe, whenever i want to watch japanese movie i would call her along i guess?

Korean food for lunch hehe.

apple juice, one of my favorite fruits ;3
( it is expensive, it cost $2.50 but the taste is debak!! )
.
.

returning back to cwp ; causeway point in short.

#potd
after shopping with my friend and sent her off, i waited alone till my mum ended her work at cwp so we could have dinner together!

i guess my mum really spoiled me at times because whenever she have dinner with me, or when i invite my friends along, she would always bring me to my favorite Japanese or Korean restaurant, the best thing is i never had to pay a single cent. We would visit a Japanese restaurant like once a week? or sometimes once every two week?

promoting green tea

Japanese ermm i forgotten what its called HAHA, sumimasen!
(means; i'm sorry in japan)

SOFT CRAB SUSHI MUHEHE, da best omg, love this sushi a lot haha.

i told my oka-san i felt like eating beef so ya, we ordered one of the most expensive beef dish? the sauce is covered with the lobster smth? i don't remember haha. We had to waited for around 20 minutes for this dish to be served, when served to us, you actually have to cook the beef on your own..i forgotten to take the process..maybe when i order this dish in the future again, i will take the process!

Juchheim || Takashimaya

みなさん、こんにちは!
(( Minasan, kon'nichiwa! ))

Have you been looking forward to today's entry as much as i do? haha i hope you did! if you are following me on my social network, i bet you must have seen the photo i uploaded last night at 11pm+ , if you haven! do follow me; @Yumegeolin_ now;-)

What's today entry all about?
Food again? Yup haha.
"Baumkuchen Cake" which chinese/malay call it as "Kueh Lapis."
.
.

I'm going to introduce one of my favorite cake, that goes perfectly well for any occasion (e.g. when you invite guest to your house; teatime. )

You must be having thoughts like " what makes this particular baumkuchen cake so special?"

I'll be answering that question later!
Well, earlier today, i read up about baumkuchen cake and did some research on it, and..

I found out that the origin of this cake was from Germany, a traditional German cake. It is known as “Der Konig der Kuchen” (“The King of Cakes”) in Germany, sounds so cool haha
and is also used as the symbol of the German Confectionery Association.
(( I know it might be boring for me to share all these but, it great to learn more things!))

Basically,

Karl Juchheim was the first German confectioner ! To bake this baumkuchen in Japan.[ omg \(*w*/) ] although idk who he is HAHA
Why does he kinda look like hilter..hmmm...HAHA LOL.

Okay actually you can read up at ;

.
.
One of the main outlet is located in Singapore, Orchard-Takashimaya.

*Does not own this picture*

This is how the shop looks like, so vintage and Germany feel, i like it!
[ Actually the original photo didn't look that nice *oops* haha so i added "some" filter to make it looks nice ahaha (@w@)/ ]

The back of the shop, it is a open window kitchen where you can see how the chef bakes the cake ~awesome ya~
you can visit the shop sometime and *stare* at how the chef bakes, it is really cool and interesting, it kinda inspire me to become a confectioner as well hehe.
(( if you stare too much later the chef thought u have feelings for them or something HAHA, i am just joking okay! )

In fact, when i was younger i did dreamt of becoming one though! sounds so unrealistic but that is because i personally really love sweets, and sweets always never fail to bring a smile to people who are feeling upset.

Sweets has the power to bring happiness and
confectioner are the ones who make these sweets,
able to bring a smile on other's people faces is actually one of the thing that a chef is proud of.

I still remember when i bought the cake yesterday while waiting for my senior to get the baumkuchen cake ice-cream,
i was greeted with a friendly smile from the lovely Japanese chef lady.
She was really nice and pleasant, i think the guy who is her boyfriend is definitely bless haha.

I actually spoke Japanese with her last night, it was a unforgettable memory for me, at first i was really shy and i doubt myself about how well i could speak as I've only spoken Japanese with a few of my friends before and once during the #NatsuMatsuri (Which i have yet to update, gonna update this week!) , however that didn't stopped me from trying.

She was so nice to even speak Japanese back with me as well.
I am still feeling excited, even now i remember what she said hehe,
"Anata ga nihongo o benkyō shite iru?
[ あなたが日本語を勉強している?] = are you studying Japanese?
And she it was also very nice of her to give us a cookies as topping, because it wasn't even part of the order!

i kinda regretted for not gathering up my courage and ask her for a photo!
Then again, i am glad that i had the courage to say " Sayonara;さようなら " to the gorgeous chef before leaving.
This coming week, when i am going back to Orchard again and if i see her, i'll surely gather up my courage to ask her for a photo ( i hope) sighh...she was truly a beautiful chef omgg..
.
.

Highly suggest that everyone buy one to try!
With assurance, certainly worth the money to buy, the price is according to the size and the service is excellent too.

As i had mentioned earlier,
" What is so special about this cake?"
It is the looks or taste?
The answer is simple, it is both of them.
The packing is so vintage and sweet, i really love how it is being design, not only that,
the moment you open it,
you can see how fine the cake looks like.
When you touch the cake, it is as soft as a pillow, the bright light yellow with layers and coated with sugar on the outside, it is simply well-made.

The taste of the cake, is satisfying to your tongue ( for those who loves to eat cakes. )
compared to the type of kueh lapis you usually have outside, it doesn't taste dry, oily or sugary. On the other hand, it will makes you want to come back for more, and i mean it.

The fragrant, is sweet-smelling, absolutely doesn't smell yucky.
Can't wait to get the cakes again this coming week!

I shall share the few nicest photo i took yesterday!
As usual, i edited quite a few version.

%the brighter version%
